A natural hydrocolloid, carrageenan is a natural extract from specific red seaweed species that are farmed and processed. It is used as a suspending and emulsifying stablizer, thickener, binder and gelling agent. This type of vegetarian carrageenan is standardized with sucrose. So happy to finally have found a veggie gelatin - this product works great and is a great bang for your buck - makes about 50 batches of marshmallows! And they are SO good.

I used this in conjunction with Versa-Whip 600 and just made a delicious (huge!) batch of vegan marshmallows. Definitely worth the investment.

I cannot sing it's praises enough. This product has allowed me to make vegan marshmallows for a customer in a way that stays consistent everytime I make them!
