Fennel Seed Whole

One of the constituents of Chinese Five Spice and Indian Five Spice, fennel seed has a stronger flavor than the leaves and a bittersweet aftertaste. Grown in well-drained, sunny site, the fennel plant will self-seed very prolifically. The seeds are air-dried when they turn yellowy green. Fennel seed is less pungent than dill. Net weight: 0.8 lb.
