Started out in 2003 as a retail kitchen boutique in Santa Monica, California, Le Sanctuaire was conceived from the desire to provide only the rarest choice ingredients and tools to passionate home cooks with the most discriminating appetite for culinary excellence.
Le Sanctuaire now caters to fine dining restaurants and professional chefs. However, our mission to source the highest quality cooking ingredients and tools has not changed. Whether it is extra virgin olive oil, herbs and spices, molecular gastronomy ingredients, an immersion circulator, or the finest porcelain, we always go the extra mile trying to understand how and why the particular ingredient or tool is grown, created, or designed the way it is. We only select the best of the best. A lot of technical research data is involved in the process. We take that knowledge and share it with our clients. Hopefully they will be inspired, able to create amazing dishes and be the greatest chefs they can be.
