This elegant oil is made from hand-picked, cold-pressed olives which come from the surrounding community just outside the village of Sarocca de Lerida, near Barcelona in Catalonia. The Arbequina olive is the core olive in this oil--the most widely found variety in Catalonia.
This high-quality extra virgin olive oil is infused wth the flavor of smoke created from the embers of the Mediterranean Stone Pine cones which are gathered in the local forest. The cold smoking process marries the delicate smoke without overpowering the quality of the Arbequina extra virgin olive oil.
The fruity flavor of the olive oil and the gently smokiness is the perfect finishing oil for grilled fish, barbequed meats, grilled vegetables and is a fragrant addition to potatoes, eggs and salads.
