Only the finest quality sea salt strictly adhered to centuries-old Balinese salt farming tradition qualifies as Upethi^™ Balinese Sea Salt. No shortcuts! In the ancient Balinese Kingdom, this special salt is a tribute to the kings. Unlike the typical solar evaporation method of salt-making, this Balinese tradition is unique and very labor-intensive. Sea water is drip-filtered in brined sand and stored overnight before final evaporation in carved coconut wood vessels. The result is pure, smaller crystals with medium salty savory notes and no impurities. Net weight: 2.5 oz.

Upethi^™ Espresso Balinese Sea Salt

Inspired by Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, where salt and a dollop of butter are added to the coffee, we created Upethi™ Espresso Balinese Sea Salt for steak purists and coffee addicts in mind. We source Grade 1 Ethiopian coffee beans and roast them in-house. The aim is to highlight the fruitiness and floral nature of the beans. Then, the roasted beans are rested for two weeks before they are ground and properly extracted into espresso shots. We infuse our Upethi™ Balinese Sea Salt with the concentrated espresso shots multiple times to get the right balance of saltiness and caffeine. Season your dry-aged steak generously and let this espresso salt do its magic. The acid in the coffee helps cut through the richness of the dry-aged fat while giving the steak a hint of mocha latte. Net weight: 2.5 oz.
