Inspired by Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, where salt and a dollop of butter are added to the coffee, we created Upethi™ Espresso Balinese Sea Salt for steak purists and coffee addicts in mind. We source Grade 1 Ethiopian coffee beans and roast them in-house. The aim is to highlight the fruitiness and floral nature of the beans. Then, the roasted beans are rested for two weeks before they are ground and properly extracted into espresso shots. We infuse our Upethi™ Balinese Sea Salt with the concentrated espresso shots multiple times to get the right balance of saltiness and caffeine. Season your dry-aged steak generously and let this espresso salt do its magic. The acid in the coffee helps cut through the richness of the dry-aged fat while giving the steak a hint of mocha latte.
